Manuscript Submission

The Employee Relations Law Journal (Empl. Relat. Law J.) welcomes original and high-quality scholarly manuscripts relevant to the journal's scope. Authors are requested to carefully review the following requirements before submitting a manuscript. Submission of a manuscript indicates that the authors have reviewed and agreed to comply with the journal's editorial, ethical, and publication policies.

Submission Requirements

Authors should submit the following materials:

1. Manuscript File

The complete manuscript should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. The manuscript should be prepared clearly and consistently according to the journal's formatting and submission requirements.

2. Complete Author Information

The submission should include complete information for all authors, including:

  • Full name
  • Institutional affiliation
  • Department or organization, where applicable
  • Country
  • Professional or academic designation, where applicable
  • Email address
  • ORCID iD, where available

The corresponding author should be clearly identified and should be responsible for communication with the Editorial Office throughout the submission and review process.

3. ORCID iD

Authors are encouraged to provide a valid ORCID iD (Open Researcher and Contributor ID). ORCID identifiers help ensure accurate attribution of scholarly work and distinguish authors with similar names.

4. References and Citations

References should be presented in accordance with the journal's required MLA citation format. Authors must ensure that references are accurate, complete, and consistently formatted.

Where available, each reference should include the correct Digital Object Identifier (DOI) or a direct and accessible link to the cited source. Authors are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all DOI numbers and links before submission.

5. Cover Letter

A cover letter should accompany the manuscript and briefly state:

  • The title of the manuscript
  • The type of manuscript being submitted
  • The significance and contribution of the work
  • Confirmation that the manuscript is original
  • Confirmation that the manuscript has not been published elsewhere or submitted simultaneously to another journal
  • Any relevant information that should be brought to the Editor's attention

6. Ethical Approval Documentation

Where applicable, authors must provide appropriate ethical approval documentation from the relevant institutional review board, ethics committee, or other authorized body.

Authors should clearly state the relevant ethical approval information within the manuscript where required. For research involving human participants or other ethically regulated activities, authors are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable ethical standards and institutional requirements.

7. Conflict of Interest Statement

All authors must disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest that could influence the research, analysis, interpretation, or publication of the manuscript.

If no conflict of interest exists, authors should provide an appropriate declaration stating that there are no conflicts of interest to disclose.

8. Plagiarism and Similarity Report

Authors are required to ensure that manuscripts are original and free from plagiarism, duplicate publication, and inappropriate reuse of previously published material.

A plagiarism or similarity report generated using Turnitin or an equivalent reputable similarity-detection software should be submitted where required by the journal.

Authors are encouraged to check their manuscript before submission and ensure that the similarity index complies with the journal's Plagiarism Policy. A similarity report does not, by itself, determine whether plagiarism has occurred; the Editorial Office may assess the nature and context of identified similarities.

Originality and Exclusive Submission

By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that the work is original and has not been previously published in its submitted form. Manuscripts should not be simultaneously submitted to another journal while they are under consideration by the Employee Relations Law Journal.

Authors must appropriately acknowledge all sources and obtain necessary permissions for copyrighted third-party material.

Author Responsibility

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all information provided during submission is accurate and complete. Failure to comply with the journal's submission requirements may result in delays, requests for additional documentation, return of the manuscript for correction, or rejection at the editorial assessment stage.

Editorial Assessment

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine whether they meet the journal's scope, submission requirements, academic standards, and publication ethics requirements. Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial assessment may proceed to the journal's single-blind peer-review process.
