Soft skills—such as communication, teamwork, leadership, adaptability, and emotional intelligence—are increasingly viewed as essential competencies in the modern workforce. Industry mentorship programs have emerged as a strategic mechanism for developing these skills by fostering real-world interactions between learners and industry professionals. This paper explores how structured mentorship initiatives contribute to soft skills development, reviews theoretical foundations, analyzes global case studies, and proposes a conceptual model for integrating mentorship into higher education and corporate training ecosystems. The study concludes that mentorship facilitates experiential learning, reflective practice, and longitudinal professional growth, although challenges such as resource gaps, mentor availability, and inconsistent engagement patterns persist.
