Abstract

Ethical decision-making is a core competency in professional education, particularly in accounting, finance, law, and public policy. Traditional ethics instruction often relies on theoretical frameworks and normative guidelines but fails to provide learners with real-world application experience. Ethical case study teaching presents a practical pedagogical strategy that enhances integrity by exposing learners to real dilemmas, moral conflicts, stakeholder trade-offs, and consequences of unethical actions. Through literature synthesis, student outcomes analysis, and faculty interviews, this study explores the impact of case-based ethical instruction on value formation, professional conduct, and judgment skills. Findings indicate that case study teaching significantly improves ethical sensitivity, reflective reasoning, and long-term adherence to ethical standards. A structured framework for implementing ethics case pedagogy is proposed.
