Abstract

As global corporations expand across geographic and regulatory environments, the demand for accounting professionals equipped with cross-border financial expertise has increased. Traditional accounting education often emphasizes local regulatory systems, leaving graduates unprepared for multinational challenges involving international taxation, IFRS/GAAP reconciliation, cross-cultural software environments, transfer pricing, foreign exchange exposure, and global audit compliance. This study analyzes training strategies required to prepare students and professionals for multinational accounting careers. Using employer surveys, curriculum benchmarking, and interviews with global financial controllers, the study identifies core training domains such as international standards, cross-cultural business communication, technological proficiency, and geopolitical financial literacy. A structured multi-stage training model is proposed to align academia, professional bodies, and multinational corporate expectations.
