Abstract

Corporate governance is essential for ensuring organizational accountability, ethical conduct, shareholder protection, and sustainable performance. Given the global integration of financial markets, business programs must incorporate governance standards from diverse jurisdictions such as OECD guidelines, Sarbanes–Oxley (U.S.), UK Corporate Governance Code, EU Directives, and emerging market governance frameworks. This research investigates pedagogical approaches used to teach global corporate governance standards and proposes a multi-layered instructional model combining case-based learning, regulatory simulation, cross-country comparative analysis, and digital compliance tools. Findings from faculty interviews, curriculum reviews, and employer surveys reveal that interactive and application-oriented methodologies improve student understanding of governance enforcement, legal structures, and ethical decision-making. A strategic teaching framework is proposed to align academic programs with international regulatory expectations.
