Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping the landscape of accounting education, transitioning academic programs from traditional lecture-based instruction to data-driven, adaptive, and competency-focused learning environments. As accounting industries adopt robotic process automation (RPA), blockchain auditing, predictive analytics, and cognitive advisory tools, academic institutions must integrate AI-driven pedagogical strategies to prepare employable graduates. This research explores AI’s role in transforming instructional delivery, assessment methodologies, curriculum design, and professional skill development in accounting programs. The study proposes a structural model for AI-enabled accounting education and evaluates its implications on student learning outcomes, academic institutions, and the accounting profession. The paper concludes by identifying challenges, ethical risks, and pathways for future implementation.
